About the practice

ACS textiles was started in 2022, with upcycled fabric quilts and cloth napkins. From there my product range has expanded significantly! I thrift fabric, quilts and garments, primarily in cotton and linen. Once I have laundered and stain treated the items, I sew them into home goods (napkins, kitchen towels, quilts, wall hangings) or apparel (quilt jackets) and often hand dye them as well. I use scraps to make scrunchies (with upcycled elastic from bedsheets) and hand dye the thrifted garments to give them a new life. I do most of my quilting by hand, as well as any embroidery and wall hanging embellishment. Everything is done by me, and all my products work together to reduce the overall textile waste created in my studio.
