Been quilting and thrifting for years, but new to upcycling linens and thrifted clothing. I use vintage flannel shirts and recycled wool to create my one of a kind wearable art shirts. Vintage linens become the fabric for new clothing featuring the embroidery that has survived many decades.

About the practice
I’ve had a passion with quilting for over 20 years and had much success selling my Art quilts. Many people don’t have the wall space to hang art quilts, so I got the idea to transfer the appliqué technique onto flannel shirts. I distress thrifted flannel shirts, then draw out a design for the back and use recycled wool for the appliqué to come to life. I live in the mountains of Montana, so many of my designs represent what I see outside my window. After a trip to Spain last fall, I fell in love with old linens and decided to give them a new life by repurposing them into clothing.
