Reflexed Goa — Making Something With What Exists Reflexed is an independent material-led design practice based in Goa, India. Built around the idea that waste is a failure of imagination, Reflexed explores what discarded materials can become when approached with curiosity, creativity and a different way of looking. We collect and work with materials that have outlived their original purpose like retired kitesurfing sails, discarded event banners, broken umbrellas, old denim, surplus fabrics and other overlooked textiles. Rather than starting with new materials, we start with what already exists. Through deconstruction, reconstruction, experimentation and hands-on making, these materials are transformed into functional objects, bags, clothing and one-of-a-kind wearable pieces. Our work is intentionally small-scale and exploratory. We value the character, history, limitations and unexpected possibilities of the materials themselves. Their previous lives are not erased; they become part of the design. Based in Goa, a place shaped by tourism, music, outdoor culture and constant movement, Reflexed looks at the material traces these activities leave behind and asks a simple question: What could this become? We believe in using what exists, making thoughtfully and finding new possibilities in things that have already been used. WASTE IS A FAILURE OF IMAGINATION.
