Somewhere in the attic, a stubborn little crafting gnome (my alter ego) makes sure nothing goes to waste. I run a tiny upcycling studio in the Netherlands, where upholstery offcuts become things worth carrying and keeping. “Loopy” reflects the circular journey of materials “Tinker” is my hands-on spirit - experimenting, fixing and creating.

About the practice
Every scrap matters: I work with upholstery offcuts, outdated sample books, and scraps from retro dress production. I give new purpose to what would otherwise land in a landfill. In my imagination, every scrap starts a new life as a bag, fanny pack, or wallet. The materials are rarely repeated, which makes each piece truly unique. I design every piece myself, creating my own one-of-a-kind patterns. There is no Planet B: Every year, over 92 million tons of textile waste are generated worldwide — including upholstery and clothing production leftovers. Huge amounts of valuable materials are thrown away instead of being given a second life. I choose my own path: I reuse, I re-love, I rethink. My goals: Raising awareness about the overwhelming problem of textile waste. Creating products that are made to last. Organizing creative workshops focused on sustainable making.
