About the practice

I upcycle fabric waste from local tailors, sample swatches and excess fabrics from fabric stores to make scrunchies, headbands, necklaces etc. Started in 2024 a home business, I started this not as a business but to rescue these fabrics that is as good as new going straight to the bin. Once I get these fabrics I wash them and segregate them as per colors and materials (synthetic or silk and cotton, linen etc) and then allocate days for cutting, sewing, threading elastics and hand sewing. I always make in small batches. Plan is to definitely expand this to more products.
